The only way to travel – The 3-in-1 Smart Trike

As seen on GMTV, this fantastic toy has had a much needed makeover. If you’re not familiar with it, the idea is that this one trike can be converted into 3 different styles to support baby from 10months up to 3 or 4 years old. Famous for its many safety features, this outdoor toy is the perfect, fun way to get baby from A-B. You can strap baby into the back support seat, complete with safety bars to keep baby safe and cosy. The detachable canopy can be snapped into place to protect your little one from sun or rain, and when baby’s legs are too wee to reach the peddles, the tricycle includes a telescopic parent handle for you to keep control. The handle can be removed when you feel your child no longer needs it, similarly the back support seat and foot rests can be removed as baby grows. That’s the great thing about the Smart Trike – it grows with your child.

A setting allows the Trike to be pushed without the peddles whipping round and hitting little legs! If your child is using the footrests, select the freewheel option, or fold the rests away and choose the gears option so your child can take control with the non slip pedals.

Ok, so it’s not a toy in the strictest sense – but it is in the way that the Wii Fit is a toy, so I’m going to talk about it anyway! All contained in a cute little pink Carry Case you get a water bottle, micro-fibre towel, mini fm radio that’s also a pedometer and headphones so you can listen in!

What I’m most impressed by is that you can get all this for just £14.95! The carry case is full of pockets so you can keep your phone, membership card, spare change or whatever you need all secure while you work out. And the water bottle has a sports type spout and comes in a padded jacket to help your water cool and you can attach it to your waist with the co-ordinated belt. THEN you have the FM radio that doubles as a pedometer to count your steps and tell you how far you’ve run and how many calories you’ve burned! I think it’s an absolute bargain and perfect for any fitness conscious girl – or one who just can’t get enough of the colour pink. Available now from Prezzybox.

Take Baby Annabell Everywhere on your Motorised Scooter!

Now I can honestly say that I have never seen anything like this before. This super cool pink and blue scooter is battery operated, and comes complete with a side car for little girls to take their Baby Annabell doll everywhere with them. Pack up the storage compartment with all the things a baby needs, climb on and off you go.

It even has a working headlight, real wing mirrors, and fun sound effects. Of course they can also drive teddy or any other dolly about in the side car, as unfortunately Baby Annabell is not included with the toy.

When they’re tired, and so is the bike, it’s very easy to recharge the battery so they can be off and running quickly again – you can decide whether that’s a bonus or not! The battery powered scooter is also pretty light, at only 25kg, so you can take it wherever you go and be glad that it’s one ride on toy you don’t have to push!

OK, so it’s a toy so dated it’s now ‘kitsch’ and ‘retro’, but I don’t care. I love it and I want one. It comes complete with pump and the classic funny face in a range of colours. The space hopper makers claim that this is “The new updated version of the seventies space hopper” made now for both adults and children, but when pushed on what makes it updated they told us “well, it’s bouncier”. What more can I say, the new improved space hopper is has more hop than ever before. Get one for the kids and tell them that this is what was considered the height of cool when you were their age…then play on it when they go to bed!
